Hello All:
I have: <Property Id="PASSWORD" Hidden="yes"/> and the value passed on PASSWORD is written to the log file when the .msi is invoked with msiexec ... /l*v msilog.log ... Investigation starts... In the log file it appears as and it appears in the log file as MSI (s) (BC!80) [10:39:39:772]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding ConfigureIIsExec property. Its value is 'ConfigureIIs151User1Component_1Name1Domain1Password13OURUSERIDC_OurUserAccount_abcmgdContoso<LOOKHERE>passwordIsHere<LOOKHERE>4210021161AppPool1Name1Component_1Attributes2User_1 so it looks like ConfigureIIs is writing it. Is there someway to prevent the password being written to the log file in this scenario where we configure a custom appPool, virtual directory, etc. in the MSI. ? Thanks balu. _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail: Trusted email with powerful SPAM protection. http://clk.atdmt.com/GBL/go/177141665/direct/01/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ WiX-users mailing list WiX-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wix-users
