That's OK. We may just have different attitudes. You say that you're jaded from the other department blaming your department, saying something is "wrong" with the install. I was never blaming WiX or my installer. I simply wanted to know *why* the end result was not working so that it could be corrected, and move on. I just want to get the job done, and done well. Was this a waste? No. I'm new to WiX and walked away with valuable knowledge about how things work, awareness of a number of interesting and useful features, and a more refined game plan for tackling a future stage of the project. It's frequently annoying going through the process, but it was definitely worth it. But anyhow, thanks for sharing your perspective.
