RemoteInstall completely automated installer testing at my day job and reduced the deployment and upgrade failure of our rather large distributed system (two dozen MSIs, authored in Wix :) rate to virtually zero across thousands of customers. It leverages VMWare infrastructure and is a simple and practical approach to installation testing.
