Which WiX Editor do you mean? If it's the Visual Studio plug-in (commonly referred to as Votive) then please open a bug if this setting is not being remembered. If it's a different WiX Editor then you'd need to follow up with the owner of the tool because I don't think it is part of the WiX toolset.
