Hi,
I'm trying to build a patch using the PCP approach. My patch.wxs file is
virtually identical to the one provided in the WiX Help example, except for
product MSI.
When trying to process the PCP file, PatchWiz fails with the error, "ERROR:
UpgradedImages.Upgraded = 'SampleUpgrade': ProductCode is not a valid GUID".
I tried putting the product code in the UpdradeImage Id attribute, and now the
compile fails with "error CNDL0304 : The UpgradeImage/@Id attribute's value,
'39AA092E-8CB9-4d2f-A3EE-D42D210D7FB1', is too long. UpgradeImage/@Id
attribute's must be 13 characters long or less".
How do I make this work?? (Wix 3.0.5217.0, Windows SDK v6.0A) Thanks!
