I found these bootstrappers online or from wix document: 1. Free Extractor (MAKEMSI Framework) 2. Install Assistant.EXE 3. InstallSite list of launchers 4. dotNetInstaller - Setup Bootstrapper for .NET Application 5. Enhanced .NET Bootstrap Setup 6. Microsoft Component Installer Software Development Kit (Spring 2005) 7. Use GenerateBootstrapper and BootstrapperFile elements in WIX.
1-5 cannot be used for a microsoft project due to some legal issue. 6-7 do not have legal issue but fail to meet my requirement. I need a bootstrapper to detect the system locale so that the msi can select the right language transform to show localized UI. Does anyone know any good option(s)?
