Ahh, important bit of information that. <smile/> No idea what is picking the new name. If you have a bootstrapper that might do it. If you downloaded from internet, that might have done it. If the Windows Installer cached your MSI and then executed it that might do it. Did you look in the verbose log file to see exactly what package was being run from where?
