Hi Everyone, I am back again with a small confusion. I need to install a new sql instance in the clients machine during deployment. In order to find the SQL Server name we need to have the hostname i got the host name, i got it through VB Script and also through the idea provided by Nicolas using the Registry.
I need either to pass the data (parameters || SQL Server name) from the VB Script or through the Custom Action and connect the database. I really dont know which is the best method and also how to make it. Please help me how to pass the parameters from VB Script and also through the Custom Action to the Wix file.
