Raymond Chen suggests don't do it because there is no good way to do it.

Subject: [WiX-users] Deleting per user data on a per machine install

Hi

My application does a per-machine install. It basically writes a bunch of
data to HKLM. The application itself stores some user preferences in HKCU.
When it is uninstalled, the data from HKCU does not get deleted
automatically. How do I setup wix to do this as well?

I'm sure this has come up before but I've only found a general
recommendation to avoid doing this at (
http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/archive/2007/09/17/4948130.aspx). If there
is a way to actually do this please point me to it.

Thanks
Aprameya
