I have both "Visual Studio 2008 SDK Version 1.0" and "Visual Studio 2005 SDK Version 4.0" installed. By default the build processes delay signs the code with the public WiX key and so it won't run unless you trust the public key. Looking at the build code it seems the answer to this is to create my own public/private key and set OFFICIAL_WIX_BUILD to point at it. This works for most of the code but Votive2005.csproj fails with this error: WixExtensionReferenceNodeProperties.cs(59,10): error CS0122: 'System.SRCategoryAttribute' is inaccessible due to its protection level Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Is this the correct way to generate signed code?
