Hi!

We are tying to access the "CustomActionData" propert from C++:

#pragma comment(linker, "/EXPORT:modifypackagexml=_modifypackage...@4")

extern "C" UINT __stdcall ModifyPackageXml(MSIHANDLE hInstall)

{
   TCHAR szActionData[MAX_PATH] = {0};
   DWORD dActionDataLen = MAX_PATH;
   MsiGetProperty (hInstall, L"CustomActionData", szActionData,
&dActionDataLen);
   MessageBox (NULL, szActionData, _T("Deferred Custom Action"), MB_OK |
MB_ICONINFORMATION);
}

But we get NULL in szActionData, the MsiGetProperty call returns SUCCESS. If
we run a VB-script function at the same "place" as the C++ function we can
read the property .

Does anyone have an idea of what we are doing wrong?

Kind regards Hans
