I help lots of people, but I don't help people that demand I help them
or are upset that I didn't answer their question in 2 hours.
This mailing list is a place where people take their own valuable time
to help others, for free. As such, you should pay them the respect
they deserve for taking their valuable time to help you.

questions the smart way, in particular the section dealing with being
impatient about getting an answer to your question:

I've been helping people with Windows Installer questions for
about 8 years now; I was the first Microsoft MVP for Windows
Installer, in fact. Checking my archives, I see that I've posted to
the wix-users list about 300 times since March, 2007 and to the
microsoft.public.platformsdk.msi newsgroup about 2700 times since
January, 2000. Those have all been posts in response to other
people's questions.
