Hey Cory, This might not be the answer you are looking for, but I can point into the code were you can take a look at what is going on.
http://wix.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/wix/wix/src/wix/Binder.cs?revision=1.70&view=markup Line 2696 starts the method. Line 2807 starts the if statement.
