Dear all,

Not sure if this is a bug or something specific to my setup. We've been
successfully installing our COM+ application with WiX2 and WiX3. Recently
someone noted that running repair causes a subsequent remove/install to fail
with 'a COM plus application of that name already exists'. Also the legacy
installer reference count in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\SharedDLLs is created and incremented for the components of the COM+
application.

I think what is happening on repair is the COM+ application is added to the
COM+ catalog which is correct but it should be removed first. Without
removing it, the COM+ administration merely adds reference counts to the
already installed components. Can someone confirm this theory?
