I've been going through the forums to see if I can find if this has been
covered already but I can't seem to find one. The problem I'm having with
my install is when I uninstall the program it leaves the service behind and
the exe related to it in the install folder. I'm using the following WiX
code for the service.
<Component Id="Service" Guid="<guid>">
<File Id="ServiceEXE" Name="Service.exe" Source="\\files\Service.exe"
DiskId="1" KeyPath="yes"/>
<ServiceInstall Id="ServiceInstall" DisplayName="Test Service"
Name="Test Service" ErrorControl="normal" Start="auto" Type="ownProcess"
Vital="yes" />
<ServiceControl Id="ServiceControl" Name="Test Service" Start="install"
Stop="uninstall" Remove="uninstall" Wait="yes" />
</Component>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
