When I installed version .4311, my event viewer logged many events; such
as,
Error in Template (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\WiX\WixLibrary.zip), file
(WixLibrary.vstemplate). Unknown attribute (_locID).
Error in Template (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\WiX\CustomActionCS.zip), file
(CustomActionCS.vstemplate). Unknown attribute (_locID).
Error in Template (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
8\Common7\IDE\ProjectTemplates\WiX\CustomActionCS.zip), file
(CustomActionCS.vstemplate). Unknown element (RequiredFrameworkVersion).
Parsing will attempt to recover.
Now I want to install .4315
1. I uninstalled .4311
2. There was apparently no registry entry to uninstall
ProjectAggregator2-3.0.4311.0 so I tried running the .msi with
/uninstall
It complained this patch package could not be opened. Does this
need a project name as well? Like
ProjectAggregator2-3.0.4315.0.msi /uninstall
ProjectAggregator2-3.0.4315.0
I just installed over .4311
3. I installed Wix3-3.0.4315.0.msi
and it all appears to be working.
