Is it a known MSI issue that Vista doesn't refresh the start menu completely after uninstalling a product?
The problem I see is that the product folder for my start menu icons do not appear to be removed after uninstalling my product. When I check the actual folder mapped for the start menu, the folder is actually removed properly, but an empty folder is displayed under All Programs. The icons themselves and some subfolders are removed, however the main folder is still displayed as (empty). C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Product Once I log off and log back in, the removed folder is no longer displayed in the start menu. My product is installed with ALLUSERS=1 and I'm running on Vista Ultimate x86 SP1. I also have that specific folder set to be removed in the RemoveFile table (also to avoid ICE errors).
