Hi all, I was trying to get my VS 2008 to let me edit a .csproj and a .wixproj file manually in the XML editor. Normally, I can:
1. right click > unload project 2. right click > Edit xyz.csproj 3. The .csproj MSBuild project file would open up in VS built-in xml editor. My solution file, has about 35 projects (mostly C# class libraries, and a couple of WPF, WCF, Winforms exe projects). It also has a couple of Wix projects and a WixLib project. I have both VS2005 and VS2008 installed on my development machine, and in VS 2008, I can unload the project, but can't edit WixProjects manually. I've tried editing one of the normal C# dll projects - it works. But the Wix projects can't be edited as XML. Also, one of the C# dll projects is a Wix DTF custom action - this is the one I've been trying to edit in the IDE - doesnt work. Clicking 'Edit ...' after unloading the project doesn't bring up anything. Anyone know why?
