trying to figure out what was wrong (see my previous mode: basically my attempt to upgrade with an .msi never actually copied any files or wrote registries or ran the app concluding the setup... basically didn't work) so i went back to the SOURCE : gabor deak janos's tutorial (albeit that's wix 2 specific) based on his example i tried to build a minimal working update sample. it can be downloaded from http://www.geocities.com/kolijoco/testwix.zip the update always gives me a network error reading msi error and freezes. if anyone has any idea how to make this work (the update should actually replace the old test file with the new one), please help out! thank you!
