I noticed after attach the mdf to SQLEXP will take away the other permissions on mdf file, and only set permission for “Network service”, “Administrators” and a SQL user group.
On Vista with UAC on, I cannot not repair the mdf with the msi who installed the mdf, if not run it from a “run as admin command window”. Repair in control panel don’t prompt UAC window. Then the repair action will fail for “not enough privilege”. Any workaround? Many thanks!
