Hey
I wanted to know if anybody has experienced any problems when using Wix 3 to
install and register a VS Package on boxes that runs Vista 64?
I have a VS package where my wix code is modeled after the installer for Votive
from Wix 3 itself. It is installing without any problems on Win 2K3 or my Vista
32 box. But when the installer runs I looks like it compeltes successfully, and
running the custom action (from the vs extension lib) that runs devenv.exe
/setup takes so long that I can only assume that action is being executed. But
somehow the package is not setup correctly. And VS never attempts to initialize
(I have used the usual VS tools to debug it is failing during startup - but it
never even tries to initialize it).
Does this ring a bell in anybody's mind?
