My application installs for ALLUSERS (ALLUSERS=1). I want to crate a start menu
shortcut which points to the product's root installation folder. This implies
that I want a non-advertised shortcut, since an advertised shortcut points to
the product feature, and launches the key file of the component if all the
other components in the feature are present. But If I don't advertise the
shortcut, I receive ICE43, because my component uses a epr-machine file as the
keypath.
This seemed to work in 2.0. My unadvertised shortcut pointed to the
installation folder, and yet my component used a file as a keypath.
Is there a way to do this? It seems unadvertised shortcuts are inherently
per-user.
