It appears that the Wix Certificate file-based installation and the Overwrite option are currently incompatible. If a Certificate element is configured with Request="no" and Overwrite="yes" and CertificatePath="<PathToCertificateFile>", installation will fail. The error logged is "Invalid Certificate.Attributes"Is this intentional and simply undocumented that the Overwrite and file-based options are incompatible, or is this a bug?
There's a bug there, but also a missing implementation: Overwrite currently does nothing. (Its only mention is commented out in scacert.cpp.)
