I've just released a product, and added the file associations to the registry so that the shell can auto-open my files.
However, I found this on MSDN: Note Any time a file association is created or changed, notify the system that a change has been made by calling SHChangeNotify, specifying the SHCNE_ASSOCCHANGED event. If this is not done, the Shell might not recognize any changes made until the system restarts. Is there any way to generate this from WiX, apart from a custom action?
