Hi All, Thanks for all the advice, I have already given the administrator account and the account I am trying to run the service under "Log on as a service" rights and I am still seeing the same error even after rebooting to make sure that policies are refreshed.
Is there anything else that anyone can think of that might not be a default permission under W2003 Server SP2 that I might need to set. You'll need to add it. The reason you can control a service from the Services panel is that the right is added for you silently the first time you open that panel.
