DirectorySearch and FileSearch?

Subject: [WiX-users] Newbie Question
Is there a way that I can search for a file that exists on the server without
having to hard code the path or use a registry search? Then string it into
this property?

When I try to use a file exists, even with a registry search, it returns that
the file cannot be found.
