I think maybe he meant the Id property on the Package
element.i.e. <Package Id=...

Check your
GUIDs, in particular your PackageCode. Do you have "????..." for them or are
you using a "hard-coded" GUID? If you're using the ??'s, it will generate a
new one when you rebuild. When these differ, it believes it's an update. If
you leave the GUIDs the same, you should just receive a Modify/Remove dialog.

Hi All,
I run a setup
and install some files.
When I run the
same setup again, the Modify/Remove dialog is displayed.
However, when I
rebuild the setup and run it over a previously installed build then I get an
error message saying that a previous version is installed and I have to remove
it before installing the new one.
How can I make
it so that I always get the Modify/Remove dialog regardless of the actual setup
build?
