Aaah at last, made it work with a workaround:). Now opening the Browse dialog with event as "NewDialog" instead of "SpawnDialog" and in the browse dialog using the event again as "NewDialog" instead of "EndDialog" when clicking on "OK" / "Cancel" button.
Not sure if this will lead to any performance issues or anything else but this is an alternative solution.
