IMHO, that is a very good attitude to have.
WiX v3 will go through bumps between here and the beginning of next year.
Unless you're willing to continually grab new builds (from
http://wix.sourceforge.net/releases) and help us debug issues that may arise
(which we would very much appreciate) then WiX v2 is the stable release.

Darren,
If Wix v2 was used to ship Office 2007, then it ought to be good enough to use
for your application for the next couple of years. Besides, when the time comes
that v3 becomes stable, the WiX folks have an upgrade path that will convert
from v2 source to v3 (called wixcop) and that could help you migrate easily at
a later date. If v2 satisfies your needs now, then I would say to stick with it.
That's my opinion!

Subject: [WiX-users] Wix Version
Some general advice required.
I have an application being delivered in November that will use Wix for
packaging. This application will be the first to use it but it will be rolled
out to other applications througout 2008. My query then is what version of Wix
people would recommend I use (i.e. how feature complete and stable is version
3.0). I would obviously prefer to use V3 but if this is likely to be quite
buggy until end 2008 for example, then it would probably be safer to stick with
version 2.
Any feedback of people experience would be appreciated
