More likely that my memory is fuzzy. I thought GUID generation only got
added in Heat, but I've been wrong plenty of times before!

Actually, doesn't the latest version of tallow have a "-gg" switch to do
a onetime generation of GUIDs? Maybe my memory is fuzzy and that's
actually in heat.
