Hello,
I'm in the process of converting our merge modules from Install Shield
to Wix. Ideally, I'd like convert the main installations to Wix as well
and just use fragments but time does not permit this.
I'm running into the following issue:
Install Shield merge modules do not append the merge module guid to
public properties when used in conditions. Wix merge modules are
appending the merge module guid to public properties when I use them in
conditions and this is causing me some problems.
I'm assuming we've just been using the side effect of an Install Shield
bug for quite a while.
So my question is:
Is there anyway to suppress appending the merge module guid to
conditions in the Component table, InstallExecuteSequence etc. with Wix?
