You could do the FileSearch, and then condition your dialog sequence based
on the property that the <FileSearch/> would set.

Hello,
I just started using WiX about a week ago, but I have been reading non
stop all week. I want to have a dialog (A) prompt the user for an
install path. Next I want the installer to check if a certain file
exists at the location the user chose for the install. If the file
exists I would like to display another dialog. If not then the
installation can carry on. I figured I could use the <FileSearch> tag
for this functionality, but the FileSearch gets run before the dialog
comes up asking the user for an install directory. Is there a way to
position the FileSearch so it happens in between 2 dialogs?
Thanks,
Max
