Creating a shortcut shouldn't be a "complication".  Until I did my installer
with WiX nobody in the company had ever seen an "advertised" shortcut...
only a couple of them had even heard of them.  Nobody actually wants them,
but I was forced to use them for the same reason, to avoid the complication
of creating a plain ordinary shortcut.  Kind of ridiculous when you think
about it.   A "normal" shortcut should be straight-forward.

I don't have a sample like that on hand. The WiX setup uses advertised
shortcuts, in part to avoid this complication. Feel free to enter a
feature request so we don't lose the need for a sample.
