Hi, I’m currently facing an intermittent problem. Whenever I install/uninstall multiple times using the msi
installers generated by WIX, I get this error. <Error Id="1303">The installer has insufficient privileges
to access this directory: [2]. The installation cannot continue. Log on
as administrator or contact your system administrator.</Error> The directory reported is usually the web directory I’m
installing to, but occasionally, I get random subdirectories in this web
directory. When running from the msi (double-clicking on msi), the error occurs
as above, but when I execute from command-line: msiexec /a test.msi /lv*
test.log /qf The dialog box closes & the log reports the installation
as successful, but yet the installation is not really done. On rebooting the machine, this problem goes away on 1 try,
but subsequently, it could happen again afterwards. I’ve searched the mail archive, & the following
thread details what I’m facing but it did not offer any solution that

installing to has full control to SYSTEM & I even tried granting full
control to EVERYONE, or even used another directory outside program files, but
