Hi all. Are there any decent books on the core architecture of
Windows Installer and MSI (seriously, there are enough books on InstallShield)?
I feel that having a deep understanding on the Windows Installer architecture would
give me a better foundation in knowing what I should and should not be doing
with WiX? I’ve read everything WiX related so far (WiX Site, Tutorial,
WiX.chm), but I’d like a good introduction to the Windows Installer
engine and something to use as a reference when looking up the rules. It doesn’t have to be a book, but I do absorb
information that way best, so printable resources would be awesome. If there
are any good write-ups, I’d love to receive some links. Joel Peterson |
