Hi list, I'm using the 2.0.4415.0 version of Wix. I would like to create an user account on my computer (Windows XP SP2). First, I tried the MSDN instructions posted at this link (http:\\windowssdk.msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms710379.aspx), which let me down because I obtain the "3" value for the first of my custom actions return value. I did not understand this ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE...asuming that the custom action code is correct!
Then, I used the WIX Standard Custom Action provided with the sca.wixlib library (and so the much easier User element). This indeed creates me an user account but it is not the type of account I wished...that is an "open Windows session" account (like Administrator or Guests..). Is there any chance to create that type of user account? Is the adopted solution incomplete? Thank a lot for your help PS.
