I've been using CLang + libc++ (the native CLang c++ standard library) +
lldb (the new debugger) for some time now on a Mac. While the advantages
are clear (especially lldb is nice in comparison to gdb: more performant
and perhaps a bit nicer output) I have the impression that the compiler
does have bugs which cause mis-compiles (wrong run time behavior).
Also, libc++ clearly does some things differently from MSVC/GNU related to
std::locale which causes errors in Wt's test suite, but for an average Wt
application I guess it's not a problem to use it as a development
environment.
A whole new toolchain is, I must say, refreshing, after decennia of GNU
tools!
Regards,
koen
