http://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1953 See comment #2, which notes a bug filed at Apple against the Leopard X11 server (which might be where the problem lies), a bug filed against Pango (which is probably not where the problem lies), and a bug filed against Cairo (which might be where the problem lies). It might also be in GTK+, or possibly even in Wireshark, although it's not clear what Wireshark would be doing wrong.
