I'm building tshark within a container. Building from the sources usually takes me a long time (around 30 minutes). I've applied the following flags:
./configure --disable-wireshark --disable-editcap --disable-udpdump --disable-dftest --disable-sharkd --disable-androiddump --disable-randpktdump --disable-reordercap --disable-rawshark --disable-captype --enable-setuid-install But it is still slow. That's why I was looking for a binary install :-) Best regards Rémy 2017-06-01 16:32 GMT+02:00 Peter Wu <pe...@lekensteyn.nl>: > > Yep, outdated because manual updates. ;) The process of building and > publishing can be reasonably automated, but is there a reason why you > are looking for a PPA rather than building the binaries from source? > > (It takes about 3 minutes on a fast machine to build the binaries once > all dependencies and the source is available.
