The current IANA file at http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers states "last updated 2007-08-07" So at least SUSE uses a (slightly outdated) IANA file, and I guess that MAC OS/X uses it too. As I couldn't find any copyright explanations at the IANA pages, I will just contact the IANA and ask if we can just use it (will CC here) ...
