I've read arround on here and found a few people with the same issue but all the aswers were either missing or not relevant to my specific situation.
I live in Japan on a boat and would like to be able to use my Linksys BEFW11 as a wireless cleint to connect to the marina hotspot here. I have looked into getting a card for my computer but as it sits below water level and an atenna wire would have to be overly not to mention the fact that I already have a BEFW11 thats doing nothing. Is it possible top configure my BEFW11 so that it can act as a wireless client and connect to the hotspot. My configuration would be like this: LAPTOP<--wired--->BEFW11<---wireless--->HOTSPOT any help much apprecietd.... alternatively i could buy another accesspoint and try to bridge the connection but I'd rather do it with what i have if possible... oh and by the way the "sign-up page for this list is seriously screwed it took me about 2 weeks to get the registartion form to return anything other than an error. I contacted the email address listed as the administrator about 2 weeks ago to report the error and never heard back...you might want to look into that cheers -barnaby _______________________________________________ BAWUG's general wireless chat mailing list [unsubscribe] http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless
