Hi all!

I'm wanting a wifi monitoring system not unlike mrtg's standard display, but
also with a signal-to-noise ratio, icmp ping health, and radio packet ping
health if possible. Perhaps you've seen the Windows based Terabeam
Configuration utility, which is a descendent of the Karlnet utility. It shows
the realtime remote link health with Orinoco/Lucent chipsets too. I'd like
those kind of stats, but in an mrtg style of display. Additionally, a realtime
tool would be great.

This system would certainly be partially hardware specific, and we're all based
on Orinoco chipsets (wavelan ap500, ap1000, and EC) and on
Tektronics(sp?)/maxtech and on Prism II.

Does mrtg do all that? Are people moving to Cacti.net?

Has anyone gotten this to work? http://freshmeat.net/projects/snr/

FYI, you can run Terabeam Configuration in wine on Linux. You merely have to
give it privileges because it wants to make raw socket connections for its
realtime monitoring, but its installer and the app run flawlessly for me. You
can get it on terabeam.com if there's nothing already native for that.

Thanks!
