Anyways, the behavior is the same: if the system boots with 2.4GHz enabled on the router it connects to it and from now on it will never connect to 5 GHz, even if I disable 2.4GHz on the router. If the system boots with only 5GHz enabled on the router all is fine. The only weird thing I'm observing is that the download speed is less than half than the upload speed (around 215 Mb/sec versus 550 Mb/sec).
