I can see two lines with the same SSID when 2.4GHz is enabled and only one when
2.4GHz is disabled, so I would say yes.

Anyways, the behavior is the same: if the system boots with 2.4GHz enabled on
the router it connects to it and from now on it will never connect to 5 GHz,
even if I disable 2.4GHz on the router. If the system boots with only 5GHz
enabled on the router all is fine.

The only weird thing I'm observing is that the download speed is less than half
than the upload speed (around 215 Mb/sec versus 550 Mb/sec).

As for the suspend/resume thing: I had to add to rc.suspend/rc.resume "service
netif stop / service netif start) to have it work, only disabling the wireless
interface was not enough because the default route was not set correctly in
that case.
