There's not yet information from a core dump, from the reporter of the bug, so this question from me is a shot in the dark.

you can see that iwm(4) is used.  …

Panics aside, and defocusing from 266656: in cases where if_iwlwifi is not in rc.conf(5) and if_iwlwifi.ko is loaded, is it reasonable to assume that the end user chose to load the module, manually, after starting the OS?
