By now, on an updated system you should not need either anymore. I think someone else had already replied that the loader.conf line is not need at all anymore (and neither is the kld_list in theory).

When I use "if_iwlfiwi.ko", wave strength displayed in wifimgr is 0 for all access point. Do you see this phenomenon? Or, does someone see this?
