[WinPcap-users] etheral works, winpcap examples do not

I am able to capture packets using ethereal 0.10.6 running with WinPcap 
3.0 alpha3 on Windows XP SP 2, but the example programs fail to capture 
any packets at all. (pktdump_ex, and so forth.) I am certain that the 
interface being used is the same one detected and used by ethereal. This 
happens to be a  D-Link AirPlus DWL-G520 Wireless PCI Adapter (rev.B).

I'm not sure where to start in troubleshooting this issue. My first 
thought is to start trying different versions of WinPcap, but I figured 
I'd ask someone with a clue first.
