I work on a product that uses WinPCAP to interface with out switch's authentication features to pass user credentials for it to authenticate and provide appropriate network connectivity. Unfortunately, the application doesn't respond to cases where the network may have been disconnected (switch rebooted, network cable disconnect, etc). Is there a way that may work across Win9x, NT4, Win2K and XP to detect connection issues like these? I'm looking into Win2K and XP's "Media Sense" but a nice multi-Windows platform solution is preferred.

Thanks,
Dan
