I have a wireless connection, WEP encrypted (40/64-bit), and once the packet capturing starts I loose the network connection, and I have to disable/enable the network adapter to get the connection back. While the connection is lost, it still capture packets - but I cannot ping any hosts.
This happens ONLY if the connection is encrypted. I'm using a 3Com Wireless 11g cable/dsl gateway, and a Toshiba Wireless 11b card. I've tried other network cards and both Windows 2000 and XP, with no luck. However, using a D-Link 624, everything works fine (with encryption).
