Hi, please excuse this query if it seems a little daft but I have literally spent all day attempting to compile a program that requires libpcap to work (Nessus) and getting nowhere!
I have had WinPcap installed for a while as I use Ethereal (the win32 version) so I know that this is working fine. I know that I need to do something with the developers kit and cygin, I found an article saying to copy the files in the include directory to /usr/include and the files from the lib directory to the /usr/lib directory. I am sure that there are other things that I need to do , as I can see that the compilation fails looking for /usr/include/net/bpf/xxx that is referanced in the pcap.h file. Are there any links out there that will explain this process so that I can attempt to get this working? thanks for any help, and apologies if this is a daft question.
