Hi, I've read the statement in the FAQ about general problems with wireless cards.
I'm trying to capture from a "cisco aironet 340" wireless pcmcia card (IEEE-802.11b). Windump show the net interface with windump -D, but don't see any packets when capturing on it. Searching the net and the mailinglist shows me the following posting from Gianluca Varenni on 01.10.2002. ------------snip------------ > 3) Does anyone know the makes of wireless NICs that are known to work > well with winpcap? Cisco Aironet are able to capture in/outbound packets, they do not go into promiscuous mode. These are the only one that we have. ------------snap------------- I would be happy, if I could see in/outnounding traffic... Maybe I could get "Cisco Aironet 350" cards. Are they working better? It would be great If someone could give me hints to get this working. (or Driver Version working).. I'm running the most new driver version from cisco. thx in advance :) king regards, Kai Olbrich -- ================================================================== This is the WinPcap users list.
